The Community Sector Council of Nova Scotia Board of Directors is Seeking New Members

The Community Sector Council of Nova Scotia (CSCNS) is dedicated to building a strong and vibrant non-profit sector. With a commitment to capacity building and providing a non-partisan voice for the nonprofit sector we provide training and best practices consulting services to the over 6000 community sector organizations across Nova Scotia.
The Board has up to 11 members appointed for two-year, renewable terms. The Board meets six times a year in a combination of in-person and teleconference meetings. Board members are expected to sit on a committee, to provide strategic oversight for the organization and to set and establish relevant policies to ensure we model best practices.
The Board is currently looking for new members who are passionate about advancing the work of the CSCNS, who are strategic - systems thinkers, and who also bring expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Membership development
- Policy development including human resources management
- Finance, internal control and audit with a CPA designation
- Deep knowledge and experience as a leader in the community sector
- Expertise in the areas of diversity, inclusion and accessibility
- Legal or business sector background
- Knowledge of social finance and/or social enterprise
- Expertise in government relations and public policy
Terms will start after our AGM in June.
The CSCNS is located on the ancestral homelands of the Mi’kmaq People.
