“I approached the Community Sector Council of Nova Scotia to request help with offering some Board Governance workshops to volunteers in our area. At the time of that initial contact I had no idea that we were on track to develop such a strong working relationship with them.
Since that first conversation, we have hosted seven workshops in our area, all focused on Board Governance, Grant-Writing or Social Media. We have received fantastic reviews from our participants and we even needed to add extra workshops to meet the demand!
We definitely plan to host more workshops with the Community Sector Council in the months to come. One thing I really appreciated was how accommodating they were to what we needed. Our team has found this experience (and relationship) to be very rewarding, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others seeking workshops for their communities.”
