The Community Sector Council of Nova Scotia is excited to welcome Tara Jaskowiak to the staff team as the new, part-time South Shore Regional Convenor, starting September 5, 2016. Tara is based in Crousetown and may already be known to many as the part-time Volunteer Navigator for the Lunenburg Queens Volunteer Partnership. Tara has an extensive background and passion for volunteer management and working with community organizations as well as skills in evaluation and event coordination. Given Tara's strong connections to capacity-building organizations like the CSC NS and the LQVP, she is uniquely positioned to support the South Shore's non-profit community. Contact Tara at firstname.lastname@example.org for queries, to share information or make a new connection.
HUGE thanks to Joan Bower as she leaves the Community Sector Council of Nova Scotia to explore new opportunities. Joan joined the newly formed CSC NS in September 2013 as our inaugural South Shore Regional Convenor. The South Shore is a large and diverse region of Nova Scotia and Joan succeeded in establishing a solid presence and profile for the Community Sector Council, making connections, strengthening networks, publishing a regional e-newsletter to strengthen inter-agency communications and hosting numerous learning opportunities. The CSC NS wishes Joan the very best in all her future endeavours.
