Nominate a Nonprofit Invisible Champion Today!

The Community Sector Council of Nova Scotia (CSCNS) is excited to present the Invisible Champion Awards (formerly the Bhayana Family Foundation Awards) in partnership with United Way Halifax and the Province of Nova Scotia. Along with a new name, the awards are expanding this year to be province wide. These awards recognize the extraordinary people and nonprofit organizations making a difference in our community. We are proud to distinguish the unsung heroes in the nonprofit sector working tirelessly to create possibility and make change in Nova Scotia.

This year, the awards will be offered to individuals AND nonprofit organizations across Nova Scotia. A total of 20 recipients will be awarded $1,000 each. In a sector where individuals and teams do amazing things with limited resources, the awards are to be used by the recipients in a way that will better equip them to do their important work. The awards recognize creativity, diversity, inclusivity, dedication, team building, leadership, community partnership, and sector sustainability in year-round service delivery as well as in response to COVID-19.

The Invisible Champion Awards are made possible by a generous donation from the Bhayana Family Foundation. As a former member of United Way Toronto’s Board of Trustees, Raksha M. Bhayana is a dedicated community volunteer and a passionate champion for the recognition of those who make a difference in our community every day. We would like to express our admiration and gratitude to Raksha and the Bhayana Family Foundation.

We invite you to submit your nominations by September 17th, 2020, 5:00pm (Atlantic Time).

  1. I was wondeгing if you ever considered changing the
layout of your ƅlog? Its veгy well written; I love what youve got to say.

But maybe you could a little more іn the way of content
so people could connect with it better. Youve gⲟt an awful lot of text for only
having 1 oг two pictures. Maybe yօu could space it out
    better?

    1. Hello – thanks for this comment and your feedback. We typically use our blog as more of a news / information sharing space and the nature of the updates we often need to share are more text-heavy. We’ll definitely look at adding more pictures / breaks to make our posts more engaging in future! – CSCNS
